In May, Mayalei received a gift certificate for her 14th birthday that entitled her to a free painting class. Today she redeemed the certificate. Arriving for a 1:00 pm class, anxious to try her hand with oil painting, we proceeded directly to the studio. Her mother, Liberty , sat in on the first 30 minutes of our class and then left us on our own. We sent her a message a little after 5 saying we were done. This young lady did an excellent job. She was attentive to instructions and very deliberate about what she wanted to paint. As you can see, at 14 one can do very well in an adult class.
I look forward to having her in the studio again.
