The second day of our 5 day workshop is now history. I trust that Andrea and Jana will remember it as a positive day in their painting experience. Certainly the painting that they went home with should be a lifetime reminder of the day. They both were excellent.
We began the day reviewing some of what we practiced on day one. We made some clouds, trees and snow on the mountains. Then we worked on summer mountains and that takes a lot of paint. It is all knife work and involves a lot of layering. We also spent time learning how to double load the filbert brush to make rocks and other items with just one stroke.
After about 2 1/2 hours of practice they started today’s take home painting. They they broke for lunch after which we finished up… Following are pictures of the afternoon session and a few of the practice..
