I am a proud teacher

Jan 24, 2018

I am so proud. In a way this is like seeing one of your children find success in life.

Many years ago, in the land of Arizona, a man and his wife taught painting classes in the resort where they resided. It was a 55+ community catering to winter visitors. Very often these winter visitors (Snowbirds) would have their children or grandchildren come to visit. Such was the case with Lee and John Stanko. Their lovely grandchild, Rachel Monson would come to visit each winter and she loved to paint. Grandmother was always anxious for her to take Joy of Painting classes. As you can see, Rachel became very proficient in this technique and was selected as my student of the month, maybe more than once.

I think that Rachel was in her mid teens when she last painted with me. And now she is married and has a child of her own. She also has a studio of her own and still paints in oils but her love for the arts let her to water colors and acrylics. Grandma Lee just sent me a link to her new website and as a proud mentor, I want to share it with you

Rachel Monson

Please take a minute to look it over. Maybe you could even make a comment on her work, or the blog where she posts tutorials. I know it would make her happy. Rachel is now Mrs Rachel Christopolus.
