This is an exciting day for me. For several years I maintained a website featuring all my Joy of Painting Students as well as the paintings that Wanda and I had for sale. It was a great site, developed by a very special young man in Arizona. Since moving back to Idaho a number of things happened that made maintaining the site an impossible task. So, after venting my frustration with words I don’t care to share here, I began looking for a solution. I began by researching companies and individuals that build sites but the costs there were greater than the anticipated return.. After looking many places I contacted Adrienana Salas of KMTV who pointed me in a better direction and now, the new site has been launched. It is still a work in progress and I look forward to hearing from many of you with comments, suggestions and even criticisms. All are welcomed.
For those of you who don’t know, Wanda and I are Certified Bob Ross Instructors and for the past 20 years have been teaching classes in Idaho, Wyoming and Arizona. We used to teach five or more days a week to classes of 12 or so. After all these years, we have slowed down a bit and now offer private instruction in our little home studio. In all these years, our fees for a class have not changed and while it is not as lucrative as before, now one can get private instruction for the same cost of being in a larger group. Wanda is certified to teach Floral Classes and I do the Landscapes and Seascapes..
The new website is designed to highlight the work of our students and I am certain that you will be very impressed what they accomplish. Of course, we are hoping that new students will come to us as a result of referrals and this site. The web address is: jopwithpat.org. I hope that you will go to the page that says CONTACT and subscribe to future updates. I will be sending reports and pictures on the students classes so you will see kids from age 6 (or so) all to way up to my senior groups. In the CONTACT AREA you can offer your opinions.
Before I leave, I want to introduce you to Autumn A. who was the Artist of the Month for October. This is her first painting and she did a tremendous job.
